First visit to Sejong National Arboretum: QR tickets, counters and entry cutoffs
For general admission, choose an onsite ticket or an online QR ticket. Concession and free-entry visitors should bring proof to a staffed counter. Last entry is 17:00 in March–October and 16:00 in November–February, one hour before closing.
- Osong: BRT B1/B2 → bus 221. Distinguish the research-building stop.
- Hanul Sumokjeong on the visitor centre’s second floor opens at 11:00.
Arrive at the visitor centre in Sejong
Sejong National Arboretum is an urban arboretum in Sejong, central South Korea. Its address is 136 Sumogwon-ro, Sejong-si. General visitors enter through the visitor centre.
If you plan to see the greenhouse and have a meal, consider closing time and restaurant hours as well as the ticket cutoff. The information below covers general visits; it does not replace separate evening-event or education bookings.

Onsite counters or an online QR ticket
Onsite tickets are sold at the visitor-centre counter and self-service kiosks. Visitors eligible for concessions or free entry should bring identification or other evidence to a staffed counter. For that situation, choose the proof-checking route rather than buying a standard online ticket first.
Online purchase requires a Korea Arboreta and Gardens Institute account or identity verification. Select a ticket option, pay, receive the KakaoTalk Alimtalk notification QR link and show it at the gate on the visit date. If this verification route is difficult to use, plan for onsite ticketing. Admission tickets are valid for that day, including same-day reentry.
| Category | Admission |

Two adults paying the standard rate and one eight-year-old child total 5,000×2+3,000=13,000 KRW. This admission calculation excludes transport and meals.
Last entry moves earlier in November
March–October hours are 09:00–18:00 Tuesday–Sunday, with last entry at 17:00. November–February hours are 09:00–17:00, with last entry at 16:00. For a late-afternoon autumn trip, plan around the entry cutoff as well as closing time.
Closures are Mondays, January 1, the day of Seollal (Korean Lunar New Year) and the day of Chuseok (Korean harvest festival), and maintenance periods. If Monday is a public holiday, closure moves to the following day. Apply the official dated event and maintenance notices to your visit date too.
Buses from Osong Station and Korean map names
The operator's directions from Osong Station use BRT B2 or B1 to the Government Complex Sejong north stop, then bus 221 to the arboretum stop. From Daejeon Station, take B1 to the Korea Development Institute (KDI) and transfer to 221.
Use the visitor stop for the arboretum. The operator distinguishes it from the research-building stop shown in the table. Do not assume a fixed bus frequency; use the linked official transport information for service on the day.

Visitor centre and greenhouse orientation
- 1Visitor centre
Point 1 is the centre of the OSM visitor-centre building. Follow onsite signs to the actual entrance.
- 2Four Seasons Greenhouse area
Point 2 is a reference point of the OSM geometry labelled Four Seasons Greenhouse. It is not a greenhouse entrance coordinate.
After the greenhouse: Korean and bonsai gardens
Official course 1 is listed as about 1km and one hour: visitor centre → Four Seasons Greenhouse → Korean Traditional Garden → Bonsai Garden → Children's Garden → Life Garden. It offers a short first-visit sequence combining greenhouse plants with Korean garden spaces.
One hour is the operator's course estimate. Looking at exhibits, eating and resting add to your total stay. With limited time, plan the return around entry and closing limits rather than extending the garden route.
A meal on the visitor centre's second floor
Hanul Sumokjeong is on the visitor centre's second floor. The official description lists San-gwa-deul bibimbap, hot-pot pork rice and hot dried-pollock soup, among other dishes. Bibimbap is rice mixed with several ingredients; the pork rice dish serves cooked pork over rice.
Listed hours are 11:00–18:00 in March–October and 11:00–17:00 in November–February. Do not plan on the restaurant opening with the arboretum at 09:00. Seeing the greenhouse and gardens before returning here for lunch is an editorial suggestion, not a visit report.
