Double, twin or triple hotel room? Count beds, not guests
Choose whether anyone will share a bed before choosing the room name. L7 Hongdae Standard Family Twin has one double and one single for three guests; Standard Triple has three single beds for three guests. Its FAQ limits extra beds to suites, so do not book a standard two-person room assuming you can add a bed.
- Equal 24.8 m² areas do not guarantee the same furniture layout or luggage space.
- L7 Hongdae lists suites as eligible for an extra bed, with an additional charge.
Official room comparison
| Room | Beds | Listed guests | Area |
|---|---|---|---|
| Standard | Double or twin; confirm the booked option | 2 | 24.8 m² |
| Family Twin | Double + single | 3 | 24.8 m² |
| Triple | 3 single beds | 3 | 24.8 m² |
The Standard room page lists double and twin options for two guests. Choose the actual option on the booking screen. Standard Family Twin has one double plus one single for three guests; Standard Triple has three singles for three guests. All three official pages list 24.8 m². Equal area does not guarantee equal furniture layouts or luggage space.
Bed configurations
A double usually means two people sharing one bed; a twin usually means two beds. Those beds need not be the same size: this Family Twin combines a double and a single. King, queen and double names do not establish a universal width in centimetres. Use the hotel’s dimensions if width matters; this diagram shows composition only.
Who shares a bed?
- For two friends who want separate beds, look for the twin option and check that it is confirmed, rather than only requested. If a booking simply says Standard, that name alone does not establish which bed option was reserved.
- For three people wanting one bed each, look for an explicitly stated three-single configuration. That is the official description of L7 Hongdae Standard Triple. Family Twin would require two people to share its double bed.
- If two of three guests can share, Family Twin is another option. Include children’s actual ages in the booking and check occupancy, bedding and breakfast conditions. The listed three-person occupancy does not promise one price for every adult/child combination.
Extra-bed conditions
L7 Hongdae’s extra-bed FAQ identifies suites as the eligible rooms and says an additional charge applies. Do not assume that paying a supplement makes an extra bed available in a Standard room. For any hotel, confirm eligible room type, availability, the final charge and taxes. A rollaway bed, sharing existing bedding and a baby cot are separate arrangements.
Before booking
- Enter every guest and each child’s actual age; distinguish allowed occupancy from people included in the rate.
- Match the required beds to the booked room details and confirmation. A request note alone does not confirm a bed type.
- Check dimensions, whether beds can be joined, and space for luggage or a stroller. This example establishes no bed dimensions.
- For an extra bed, confirm the eligible room, availability and total charge including taxes.
The official rooms list check-in at 15:00 and check-out at 11:00. These are separate from bed selection.
Example enquiry: “Three adults each need a separate bed. Please confirm whether our booked room includes three single beds.” This is suggested wording, not a record of a completed reservation.
