Arrival conditions at the two hotels

Hongdae’s guest-only car park is on B2–B4. Contact Myeongdong before arrival to arrange parking.

A room reservation does not guarantee a parking space.

Parking for one or two nights

Parking is separate from the room rate. For one vehicle staying two nights, Myeongdong costs KRW 10,000 more than Hongdae.

Hongdae’s official notice separately lists general parking at KRW 3,000 per 20 minutes, capped at KRW 30,000 a day. A general-parking day and a guest-parking night are different charging units. For parking before check-in or after check-out, ask the hotel when the guest rate applies and how re-entry is charged.

Check-in, check-out and bags

Both hotels allow check-in from 15:00 and require check-out by 11:00. Free bag storage is available before check-in and after check-out: use the 21F HELP DESK at Hongdae or the 3F front desk at Myeongdong.

Early check-in and late check-out at Hongdae cost extra and depend on room availability that day. Tell the front desk your preferred times and ask for the additional charge.

   Check parking before booking

   For Myeongdong, check whether parking can be reserved before booking your room. For Hongdae, ask about parking conditions on your stay dates and vehicle height or size limits.

   Give vehicle and arrival times

   Give your booking reference and planned arrival/departure times, then ask about extra-hour and re-entry charges. If arriving after midnight, it is also useful to ask how to keep the room reservation.

   Register and confirm charges

   On arrival, register your number plate at Hongdae’s front desk. At Myeongdong, follow the procedure supplied with your parking reservation. Plan bag storage and car departure separately when sightseeing after check-out.

Addresses and subway access

Hongdae’s address is 141 Yanghwa-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul (서울특별시 마포구 양화로 141). Myeongdong is at 137 Toegye-ro, Jung-gu, Seoul (서울특별시 중구 퇴계로 137). Show both the hotel name and Korean address to a taxi driver or in your map app.

Hongdae’s official directions use Line 2 Hongik University station (홍대입구역), Exit 1, then right, with an estimated one-minute walk. Myeongdong is immediately in front of Line 4 Myeongdong station (명동역), Exit 9; the hotel suggests Exit 7’s escalator for substantial luggage. Hongdae’s minute is the hotel’s estimate, varying with bags, crossings and walking pace.

An outing after leaving your bags

After leaving bags at Hongdae, consider shops, cafés and restaurants around Hongik-ro. Korea Tourism Organization’s neighborhood listing uses 20 Hongik-ro, Mapo-gu, Seoul (홍익로 20). Street performances vary with the day.

Near Myeongdong, Myeongdong Kyoja’s main restaurant at 29 Myeongdong 10-gil, Jung-gu (명동교자 본점, 명동10길 29) is a meal option. Seoul’s official tourism guide lists kalguksu, knife-cut noodle soup, and mandu, Korean dumplings. Meals are extra to the parking totals.
